Gaddafi in his Dying Time

Obama shook the hand of Gaddafi real slow. And looked him in the eye.

That, my friend, is politics.

But I can also imagine many politicians or leaders watching with vicarious horror the final frames of Muammar Gaddafi's life.

Somehow I thought I was watching a Greek tragedy with this moral: that the people own the leader. Not the other way around.

The man was a ruler-tyrant. And he met a death right out of the pages of the Elizabethan playwright Christopher Marlowe.
